Straub Families! Please see the changes to the end of the year school calendar. We are so thankful that our board has put a lot of time and consideration into allowing our students to have the best end of the year as well as Summer possible. We know that a lot of families have trips planned for Spring break as well as the beginning of the Summer and this is the best way to allow everyone to make-up the time needed. Plus, this allows us more instructional time with our amazing students each day.
Our school Day will start at 7:50 and END AT 3:15 everyday from April 6th to May 22nd.
May 19th - previously out for Election Day, now a day in IN SCHOOL
May 21st- now a whole day - 3:15 DISMISSAL
May 22nd - NEW LAST DAY OF SCHOOL 3:15 DISMISSAL

A reminder of morning drop off traffic: Please do not pull into the front of the building for drop-offs until AFTER 7:45. We will blitz traffic from the line in between buses when possible, but no drop off traffic should come from the main entrance until AFTER 7:45. We are having issues with cars passing buses while unloading and driving around other vehicles in line. Please follow the route attached.
Thank you for helping with this!

Good morning!
We are so excited to see everyone back tomorrow. Its been a rough few weeks for the weather.
We do not have a bunch of updates as the weather has set us off during this time.
Valentines Day is coming up and we will be celebrating here on the 13th. Please remember, we are not allowed to accept deliveries or items with glass or balloons to go home on the buses. Any stuffed animal must be able to fit in the backpack.
I know this is short and sweet, but we are ready for warm weather and routines around here.
See you tomorrow!

Make-Up Day
Good evening! Not going to lie, the 2 hour delay threw me for a loop. With that being said, please be at your stations/rooms at 9:20 so students can come straight back to rooms. Breakfast should be ready outside the rooms. Be very safe and give yourself time in the morning.

Good Morning!
I hope that each of you have been safe and warm during this snow last week. We have missed our students so much and are so ready to have a wonderful week at Straub.
We have exhausted all our NTI days and we are not even close to finished with Winter. Yikes!!
I am hoping this is all behind us, but we shall see.
Here are a few reminders for our upcoming week. Our focus is getting our kids back and enjoying our learning together.
Dress warm & we will see you tomorrow, bright and early!

Good Afternoon Families! We hope and pray that everyone is staying safe and warm. I am so thankful we are on the lower side (at this time) of the predicted snowfall. We hope that each of you are safe in your homes and are staying warm. With the amount of snowfall we have already received and the continued forecast, we will come to you all with updates on school as soon as we get those. Be on the lookout for updated information. We will continue to communicate to all our families by our Mason County app and every way possible. Due to the ice on Thursday, our Title 1 Math and Reading Night was postponed until a later date. The original make-up date was this coming Thursday, but our fear of the weather unknown was too high to reschedule for that date. At this time. We are looking at dates around the second week of February. We will keep you posted on that once we are back in session. A few reminders: Monday and Tuesday is tutoring after school until 4:30. Wednesday is Strikers until 4:30. We hope to be back in as soon as possible and will keep you as Straub finds out anything. Please reach out to us if you need anything that we can help with. We are a family and want to be sure that everyone is safe during this time. Prayers for warmth and safety to everyone! Stay warm and see you soon back at Straub!
