Good Morning Straub Families!
We hope and pray that each of you had an amazing Winter break and was able to spend some much needed time with your family. Our wish is that all our families know how much we love and appreciate you and your students and cannot wait to see them back tomorrow. It is the laughter and learning of students that make a school feel like a home.
We have some exciting plans for our New Years celebration when we return as we always hope that the New Year is even better than the one we just ended.
Remember, our doors open at 7:20 for buses and drop-offs and our day here starts at 7:50. We can't wait to see all your smiling faces back at Straub.
See you tomorrow!
We hope each of you have a wonderful holiday and Winter break. See everyone back here on Monday, January 5th.
Be safe and warm wishes!
I have waited to send out our weekly information due to the weather and changes. I am so bummed that we have missed today and tomorrow due to all the exciting things we have planned here. Santa had put our students on his NICE list and was visiting with us tomorrow, but now we will have an NTI day. Tomorrow will be NTI #5 for Mason County. If your child needs any assistance or help with anything, please reach out to our teachers or the front office. We are here to help you with anything we can and cannot wait to have our students back.
We will pack everything we can into the days we have this week. Your children may be tired when they get home, but we are going to celebrate this exciting time of the year.
Happy Holidays and see you all soon!!!

We hope you have enjoyed this weekend and are ready for this week. Fingers crossed we do not receive any of the white stuff the weather man has been discussing. Hoping it stays further southeast of us!
Please see the Sunday Communication for any upcoming events, information and Straub News.
We are excited about another amazing week at Straub!

Winter iReady Rewards & Growth Goal rewards: Be sure that your students are getting lots of rest and are ready for the test!
We cannot wait to see their GROWTH.

*Paper copies will be coming home with your children soon. We just wanted to give you guys a heads up of what we had taking place next month.

Please join us for our Veteran's Day Play on November 13th @ 6pm. Due to our partnership with the HS Jazz band, we were not able to both have our performances on Veteran's Day. We look forward to celebrating our special Veteran's this evening and seeing our 2nd graders in their performance.

We hope that each of you have enjoyed your weekend and our students loved trick or treating. We have had a very busy and wild two weeks at Straub with dress up days and activities, that we are looking forward so a semi quiet week.
Reminder that there is NO SCHOOL Monday! Enjoy the 3 day week.
See everyone Tuesday.

We hope you all had an amazing weekend and today was a great day back for all our students. I apologize for not getting the Sunday information to you yesterday, but I was having difficulty with my end of the app.
Other than Red Ribbon week, we have a fairly quiet week here at Straub. This is by far the craziest week at Straub due to all the dressing up, crazy schedules, Halloween celebrations with extensive amounts of candy and normally a full moon falls in this week. Daylight affects our students also in the mornings when it is still dark and they are arriving at school.

This week is digital citizenship week across the district. Attached, you will find the themes for each day. This is not mandatory, but a fun way to show your techy side.
Please dress warm as we will be going outside until it is no longer possible.
See everyone tomorrow!

We hope everyone enjoyed their weekend and are ready for a great week at Straub.
We have a relatively calm week before Fall Break next week with Red Ribbon Week and Halloween coming up at the end of the month. That is always a crazy busy week. We have added the details to themes on the weekly communication. Hopefully these are fun and easy themes for your child and you.
As always, if you have any questions please contact us at Straub at 564-9047.
Thank you,
Mrs. Mason
